Siula Grande is a 6344m high peak in the Peruvian Andes. Part of the Cordillera Huayhuash mountain range, it received world wide recognition through Joe Simpson's and Simon Yates' dramatic ascent of the previously unclimbed west face. The book and documentary film "Touching the Void" tell the story.
